Mostly MN Music with Kerry Alexander from Bad Bad Hats – theme telephone

Such a treat to have Macalester College graduate Kerry Alexander from Bad Bad Hats return to the scene of her college days to join in studio at WMCN. (You can see them next in the Cities at the Pizza Luce Fest on Aug 12.

Her personality is at least as delightful as the music. And she was very at home in the studio as a former station manager. It was fun to hear about the early, early days of Bad Bad Hats, which took place at Macalester, as well as to get the update on what’s happening now with upcoming shows and their Patreon account, their videos. Sounds like the band members are very hands on for every aspect of the art – down to writing thank you notes to fans as they pack up merchandise to send out. Kerry is absolutely the sort of person you could picture hanging out with, maybe walking up to the Super American for a freezie!

The theme was telephones. Thanks to folks for their requests and recommendations. You can listen to the aspirational playlist on Spotify. Or check out what we actually played below.
