Update on Mostly MN Music: Kind words from Dispatch and early summer sabbatical get us excited for Fall!

It’s been a wild and weird summer. We had some awesome guests. We’ve had some technical issues. One of us (me, Ann) had an extended Irish holiday due to technical issues with the airlines. Come home to find out the technical issues at the station are worse. WMCN has stopped programming for the summer as they focus on getting everything better for the fall.

We’re disappointed but we’re exciting to gear up for next season. (We don’t have our fall time slot yet.) In the meantime, we will continue sharing videos and 5-question email interviews. Big apologies to the folks we planned to have on. We won’t name names but we’re listening to Brynn Andre’s album Honeymoon  and putting Uncle Jesse’s Comb album release on Aug 30 at First Avenue on our calendars!

Also a bittersweet thank you to Dispatch MSP for mentioning Mostly Minnesota Music in their final (only for a while we hope) print edition. We are honored to be mentioned. And it felt right to be next to Paul Engebretson, as I often am on the dancefloor. Dispatch has done some amazing arts coverage, lifting up aspects of our community that we all need to know more about. Publisher Taylor Carik and Editor Katie Dohman do great work. I look forward to seeing what they do next. (I was excited to get home in time to see one of Taylor’s projects, PARISHES, rock it at the Turf Club last week.)
