Mostly MN Music with Mayda and Cindy Lawson – theme kissing

What better way to celebrate a weekend of independence than with two powerful women. Big thanks to Cindy Lawson for stepping in as guest host. (Cindy is playing July 14 with Everclear in Rochester, MN for FREE.) And big thanks to MAYDA for stepping in as musical guest. (MAYDA is playing July 19 at the Aster Café with Cassandra Cole.)

It was great to have Cindy pull out a few songs off the theme, including Dork Magnet from Zuzu’s Petals in honor of Laurie Lindeen. As Cindy noted, it was a fun song that includes a laugh from Laurie. Then to talk to MAYDA about her music and building community and conversations. Her new music is danceable and thought-provoking. The discussion between Cindy and MAYDA was interesting.
