Thanks to Leo from Dance Agenda for answering 5 Questions about the festival.

Please tell us about the Beyond the Pines Festival. What happens? What’s the vibe?
Beyond the Pines is a weekend long house and techno camping festival that combines music, nature, and community. It will take place at Chains Edge Disc Golf in Ogilvie, MN from August 9th to 11th. The goal is for attendees to experience unique music in the woods with their community. The vibe will be welcoming, fun, and encourage attendees to close their eyes and get lost to the music in the woods.

What was the inspiration for the festival?
Lost Village, Electric Forest, and Zamna’s Day Zero are large inspirations for Beyond the Pines. We wanted to combine unique art installations, beautiful lighting of the surrounding woods, proper amenities, and new and unique sounds to leave attendees with an unforgettable experience.

Please tell us about a favorite memory from past fests that would give us a flavor of the event?
It is always great to hear about people leaving having found new favourite artists and continuing to be exposed to new music. We take pride in that the Dance Agenda community trusts us to pick out the artists that we believe will provide them with the best possible musical experience. At our events strangers become friends.

What are the logistics?
There are 2 stages, several vendors with unique art and festival merchandise, a kandi bracelet station that attendees can make as many bracelets as they would like, which is included with the purchase of a festival ticket, yoga and sound bath Saturday morning followed by Beats&Brunch (which is a staple Dance Agenda event and will include music with brunch food for purchase from the food trucks), and a sunrise set to close the festival. We will have plenty of bathrooms, hand-washing stations, water stations, showers available for purchase, security, EMT tent, as well as a general store on site that will sell camping and festival essentials, such as ice. BTP will also have official merchandise available for purchase only at the festival.

Any pro tips you can share? Bands that shouldn’t be missed or best place for a tent?
We are very excited for the full weekend of events, but we think the Saturday night headlines will truly blow people away. We have a dedicated campground where attendees can set up camp wherever they would like within the campsite limits. We are spraying for bugs, but as it is in the woods, we still recommend to bring bug spray.
