I love a sneak peek of something or the start of a series! Heart Medal come from JJ Sweetheart’s upcoming EP, Big Things, which is coming out on Valentine’s Day 2025. The video is filmed on the Arizona Trail as part of a 4 month long solo hike through the desert. It’s the first video of a three-song series of trail footage.
There’s a vintage (think 1970s) sound to the music and video. They both have a DIY feel that makes them both more personal with moments of things like smoke in the desert that places the personal in a world larger than us all. There’s something very interesting happening here.
