HONK Jam Session September 10: where music meets social justice

Call for Musicians!

In the face of oppression, music is a powerful form of resistance. HONK brings together Twin Cities musicians of all skill levels to jam, collaborate and combat fascist agendas. If that resonates – and you’re ready to learn some protest tunes – grab your instrument and meet us at the jam session.

What: HONK Jam Session
When: Wednesday September 10 from 6-8pm
Where: Queermunity 3036 Hennepin Ave Minneapolis MN 55408

Bring your instrument(s) and a music stand if you have one. We do have some extra stands and instruments if needed. Singers are welcome too! Sheet music is provided in chord sheet and lyrics format for some songs and with a melody and chords for other songs. There will be time for pre-planned songs and songs people bring to share

I’m not musical but I love this idea. The planners are talented musicians and social activists. So no matter where you fit on that VEN diagram, I think it would be worth checking out!
