Mostly MN Music with Katy Vernon playing the No Kings Twin Cities After Party

Yesterday was a busy day. I try to get the radio show notes out immediately but sometimes we’ve got to get to a march but that just give me even more perspective on the show. We were so happy to have Katy Vernon on the show. It was great to hear about her musical history especially in the last five years as she transitioned from the Katy Vernon band to Favourite Girl. I think Katy is stepping into being bolder, more rocking and unabashedly proud to be exactly who she. And it’s working. She never sounded stronger on stage or off. Also we got a chance to talk about the No Kings Twin Cities march. It was amazing with 100,150,000 people in attendance and twice as much joy. Katy played the No Kings Twin Cities After Party at the Hook and Ladder, which also was an amazing success.

Big thanks as always to Langen Goldstien (Girl at the Rock Shows) for cohosting. Our theme this week was royalty. You can check out the songs we played below or our aspirational playlist on Spotify.
