We walked into the studio a little tired from the Red Wing Big Turn festival. A happy, well-earned tired for sure but tired. So, we were thankful to have Mary Cutrufello in studio. Talking to Mary gives glimpse of where her songwriting starts. She’s an observer, who is great with words. Not wordy, just knows the right phrase. She has a million stories to tell. She also has a powerful and distinctive voice to make those songs, well, sing. We were lucky enough to have a front seat to the songs and the stories. You can see Mary at the White Squirrel on Friday (Feb 27), at the 318 Cafe on Saturday and back to the White Squirrel on Tuesday.
