Such a delight to have Venus deMars in studio today, especially after playing to 200,000 people at No Kings Twin Cities. It was amazing to see Venus on the big stage, representing for trans people, MN musicians and social activitists. It was interesting to talk to her about her history as being trans over the years. Also about her experience living in South Minneapolis and just doors down from the spot of Renee Good’s murder. We also heard some amazing music – in studio. From 200,000 at No Kings to a live studio of two, Venus is a rockstar anywhere.
