I need to phone a friend – one who likes flying more than I do because I got a lot more feels than I bargained for watching this video. That’s not a bad thing at all – but whoa.
The sound is Minnesota cosmic folk. It’s comforting; it’s catchy. The song is immediately familiar. The voices of Rich and Germaine Gemberling fit so well together. There’s a sway.
I’m lulled into the ease and the idea that “it would be such long, long drive” and then bam, I’m looking out the window of a plane at the ground. I love when the music and the imagery can evoke a physical response. It’s probably more subtle if you like to fly – but then maybe you don’t fully understand the miracle flight about which they sign.
Fun foreshadowing – we are hoping to talk to Rich and Germaine about the new album closer to the release date!
