Stop! Forget the heat and take a break into the garden with KYM’s new video in the garden – Bloom.
The tune is upbeat, the message is positive, the visuals are gorgeous! I really like to today and I am going to love it in January! It’s jazzy, flirty vocals with a funky electric music soundscape.
Flowers (from the Lake Harriet Rose Garden and apparently their neighbor’s tulip garden) are popping all over this video. Their beauty makes the people in the video even more gorgeous and extraordinary. There’s that feeling of talking yourself into approaching that big crush. The joy and nervousness of asking someone out, especially when you really like them.
I’m going to listen to this next time I need to build up my courage!
KYM is a Minneapolis-based queer femme artist, supported on this song by Drew d’Lakes on bass guitar and Riley Jacobson on drum; mastered by Rob Schlette at Anthem Mastering. The video features dancers Genevieve Draškocí and Sydney Swanson. Shot and edited by local videographer Joni Griffith.
