Blackheath Pedestrian was released last week (March 17); it is a delight – both sonically and visually.
Gotta love a concept that has the musicians jumping feet first into another dimension like Mary Poppins dancing into the chalk drawings with penguins. We spoke to them almost a year ago about their music and videos. They embraced the idea that they didn’t play live, which opened new creative opportunities. Blackheath Pedestrian has the musicians completely animated – although rumor has it they are from Minnesota! The music is catchy and quirky. It has an inclusive, community feel to it – which pairs nicely with the lyrics inviting listeners to walk into the dream. Love the magical genie dancer!
There’s a retro feel to the song. The video is very charming.
