Big Salt on Mostly MN Music – theme Food

Such a treat to have Sally and Angie from Big Salt in the studio. They are getting ready for a bunch of upcoming gigs including the Thaw in Rochester on March 25 and the Hook and Ladder on April 13. Sadly, we could not record the show again this week as it turns out the station shuts down when you try to archive. But I was able to capture the interview including their in-store performance.

It was fun to hear about the origin of Big Salt and the inspiration of some of the songs. Funny to hear that Hey Arnie started out as a song about a dog, sort of. Always fun to hear about how uplifting and supporting the Minnesota music scene is – audience, performers, folks in the venues and everyone involved.
