We got a chance to talk with speakeazie, about a year ago. She sings some of the most emotive dance music you’ll come across. With the latest song (Don’t Go Anywhere), off her newest release (Forsaken Melodies), the music has that late night mellow melting into the dancefloor and the lyrics are all about the emotion we can feel for a person, which can feel complicated and like a lot and both easy and hard. The video is black and white images of nature and movement and speakeazie singing. It’s sultry and soulful noire.
