We were delighted to have the Twins of Franklin in studio to share their upcoming album, This Life, which releases on May 17 with a celebration of the album on May 31 at the Icehouse. The Twins are not actual twins, but good friends, Becky Shaheen and Laura Lou. They met in college and have been making their friendship and music a priority together. Their voices meld magically together. They played two lovely songs about the shades of motherhood and introduced us to their friend and publicist Hyedi Nelson, who is hosting a Concert for Charlie, which we learned about earlier.
Our theme was placenames in Minnesota. You can listen to the aspirational playlist on Spotify or check out what we played on air below.
