The Jessa Roquet Music Foundation is foundation created in the memory of Jessa Roquet (aka Gambler’s Daughter) who passed away from cancer in June 2021. On Feb 15, 2020, Jessa was one of the last guests we had in studio before before the COVID shut down. She had just come through a hard time with her relationships and was getting ready to take the world by storm, not knowing that darker chapters were already in the ether for her personally and at a global level.
Jessa was powerful, bright and beautiful. The Foundation is a fitting testament to her place in the community. Music in the Backwoods is an outdoor concert experience in support of the Jessa Roquet Music Foundation and its mission to offer grants to local musicians.
