John Ostby and Eric Fawcett from Spymob joined us in studio to share their latest album released after a 20-year hiatus. Their music sounds upbeat and dreamy at times, but they tackle some heavy topics, which gives the music a dynamic edge that makes me love the music even more. It was interesting to talk to them about the difference 20 years makes in terms of technology, the industry and the bandmembers. Turns out communication and having fun are two key ingredients now and then.
Our theme this week was red, white and/or blue, in honor of the 4th of July. You can check out the songs we played below or our aspirational playlist on Spotify. Also nice to have Langen Goldstien (Girl at the Rock Shows) back in studio!
