Jim Walsh and his band The Dog Day Cicadas celebrate the release of their newest album One Brave Thing with a couple Minneapolis release shows, including October 1 at Driftwood Char Bar, October 3 at Lucky Cat Records and an exciting one-night-only return of his famed Mad Ripple Hootenanny on October 10 at Westminster Presbyterian Church as part of MinnPost Festival 2026.
Jim is such a thoughtful songwriter, social observer and activist. I think it’s important to note that the video was posted in November 2025 at the very early days of Operation Metro Surge, demonstrating that we didn’t just rise to the occasion in the Twin Cities, we prepared! I love how Jim captures that spirit.
