Yesterday we celebrated International Women’s Day with a day full of songs from women with a Minnesota connection. We were spoiled for choice!
We also had Ben Noble play for us at the station. He was delightful. It’s always a treat to get a personal show and I really like Ben’s unique voice. He’s working on his second album. I noticed that he’s going a lot more techno in his new work and there’s even an air of free jazz. I asked him about it and he said it’s because he’s getting better at what he does. I love that answer! We should all feel that way. Ben is playing at the Bryan Lake Bowl on March 14.
We also had a recorded video with Dessa. Heather talked to her about her new single Grade School Games. Her big gigs at Orchestra Hall are coming up at the end of the month March 26 and 28.
