Enjoy a sneak preview of Minnesota’s Last Waltz’s upcoming show happening at Como Lakeside Pavilion on Saturday August 10 at 5pm featuring Dan Israel singing Bob Dylan. Captured during a recent rehearsal.
The show will be a recreation of The Last Waltz concert film featuring The Band on what was called their farewell concert appearance. It will happen in the gorgeous outdoor (but sheltered) Como Pavilion right on Como Lake. Tickets are $18 Advance or $20 Day of Show. Kids 12 and under are free. Food and beverages are available onsite at the Spring Cafe.
The original film included a star-studded list of performers joining the band on stage; the Minnesota version will include the same featuring some of Minnesota’s favorite musicians – starting with members of The Band. Major label producer, songwriter and Mango Jam and Dark Pony Alumni Jon Herchert will play the part of Robbie Robertson. The legendary veteran drummer/vocalist/producer David J. Russ will play the part of Leven Helm. Tim Mahoney, Annie Mack, Kung Fu Hippies bassist and vocalist Chad Whittaker will play the part of Rick Danko. Honeydogs and Hookers & Blow keyboardist extraordinaire Peter J. Sands will play the part of Garth Hudson.
