Pleased to share a new-ish video by my buddy Molly Maher. The video has actually been out for a while in Minnesota. It’s getting its National Premiere now. (Makes it feel cool to be in MN.)
It’s a beautiful song with eerie undertones. There’s a coming back in the imagery of the old photo and travel to a cabin. It makes you wonder who the Shepard and how and why she decides to follow his lead to the water and the woods.
Molly’s music often has a sense and mention of place somehow this song captures wandering, the travel not the destination. It’s a much more mellow side to Americana for Molly – much dreamier.
Mostly Minnesota
