Happy Halloween! We are pleased to share Witchu a new video from The Makeouts, especially for the day that’s in it.
The video is a collection of public domain videos from back in the day. Kind of kitschy, kind of scary, very fun. Reminds me of watching scary movies in the basement as a kid. The song has the best deep cut nod to Minneapolis I have heard in the long time, “like a deer in a cemetery,” which was inspired by the deer in the Lake Street Cemetery. (If you haven’t seen it you’ll have to walk or drive down Lake Street between Hiawatha and Cedar. She’s usually pretty easy to see.)
The song is catchy. Make Keane has that perfect goth-worthy voice so low and smooth. This can be your treat for the day!
