Ginny & the Fizz has released two singles and they are about to hit the road – starting a show at Day Block Brewing on Friday March 25!
We spoke to three quarters of Ginny & the Fizz – Michael, Maddie and Jarod. They were as delightful and uplifting as their music. Ginny & the Fizz is a pretty new band in its recent permutation, but you may recognize them as Annex Panda. We talked about the two songs they have released under the new moniker. I love the line in Fem in Him about “hope is addictive.” They spoke about the themes of being seen and being OK and holding out hope especially for LGBTQ+ folks. It’s empowerment through joyful music. I can’t think of a better approach.
They also have recently submitted a video to NPR’s Tiny Desk; it’s absolutely worth checking out.
