We had the opportunity to talk to Dan Murphy of The Scarlet Goodbye in November 2021. We talked about the pandemic, his new band and how much we all enjoyed him singing more than he has with previous bands, which is part of why we’re glad to share Rosary. It’s a tender song about the fleeting nature of life. The imagery in the song (which the video captures) is like a movie flashback of life as a kid in Minnesota. There are times with The Scarlet Goodbye where they somehow put glimpse of my own childhood or teen-hood in song.
