Not to brag, but I’ve seen Preston Gunderson play for a full house in a fancy theater and I’ve had him play just to me … in the WMCN studio. Regardless of the surrounding there’s always an intimacy that is captured perfectly in the new video for Fall. (And you can see him play too a number of times this winter (listen below), starting with Buck Hill on January 13.)
Fall is a tender song about mourning love lost. Preston’s voice is strong but vulnerable. The song feels like a whole movie with the level of detail and emotion packed into just over three minutes.
