So pleased to share Revolt by Leslie Rich and the Rocket Soul Choir. We had the pleasure of chatting with Leslie right after Butcher Boy came out in 2020. Revolt is a rocking song, perfect for swaying at the bar. But there’s a power to the lyrics that are tempered with the use of childhood toys in the video and made more interesting. There’s a romance to the notion of a revolt, especially in the US where we haven’t seen wars on our own territory. But that romance melted after the insurrection on Jan 6 2021. Somehow Leslie bring that to light in the song and the video.
