It was a full house at the annual Dolly Parton Tribute Show at the Fine Line. The music was tremendous. The fashion, on and off stage, was spectacular. It was a night of sheer joy in the midst of people who are worried, crabby and scared for our future. It was a good reminder that together we can change the vibe and we can lift each other up.
Women’s March MN and ERA Minnesota shared a table at the event. We were encouraging attendees to join us at two events:
- Forward Together: Rally for Equal Rights. ERA MN Rally at the Capitol (inside) on Tuesday (Jan 14) at 10am to remind our legislators that equal rights for all is a priority with the voters
- The People’s March: Fired Up? Follow up. Hosted by Women’s March MN to build community and get attendees focused on specific things we can do moving forward to support each other.
Generous people donated and many came up to ask questions and share stories about marching at the first Women’s March or going to ERA rallies as a kid. We brainstormed about what we could do to keep the joy for all of us.
Big thanks to the artists, bar staff and planners. The lineup was incredible: Faith Boblett, Molly Brandt, Rachel Calvert, Laura Hugo, Jaedyn James, Sarah Morris, Leslie Vincent and A Little Too Short to be Stormtroopers.
This is so fabulous! Thank you!!!
