We were lucky enough to have Loki’s Folly on the radio show (with Lacey Guck in April). They pack a lot of power into a few pounds! It’s hardcore punk like I’ve loved since the 80s. So I was happy to spend my birthday at Seventh Street for their single release. The video is great…
One of the things I love about Loki’s Folly is that despite being young (13 and 18 when they were on the show), they know the history of local music. A highlight from Wednesday’s show was their Replacement’s cover (with added support from Ryan Smith and Jeremy Ylvisaker). But my favorite songs are their originals – like The Love Song. That’s when the music perfectly suits their strong scream and amazing fast playing. Again – just the music I have been loving twice as long as these amazing women have been alive!!
I can’t wait to hear more from them.
